Question:

Question on Ear Gauge Sizes?

I'm currently at a 6g right now, and I want to move up a size to 6. I started out at the lowest number, and have been going up. I've been doing it on my own. Since I started, up until 8g, I was just buying the next size up gauge, not the tapers or anything, and they went in perfectly. Well, now I'm trying to get to a 6, and I went and bought the 6's a while ago, maybe a month ago, and I tried to get them in, and they wouldn't go. I thought I had gotten the wrong size, since they wouldn't fit, but they were 6. I kept my 8's in for a while (I read that it's good to keep them in a while before changing them) and I knew I had waited long enough. Well today I went and bought the 6g tapers from Hot Topic and they went in halfway, then stopped. The end where it gets to the 6g point, that's the part that won't go in. I just wanted to know if anyone else had that problem, moving to the next size up? Or if anyone had any advice? I'd appreciate it.

BTW, I've been buying the horseshoe gauges to move up sizes. But like I said, they've been working fine.

  1. My brother had gauges and yeah you will have problems, but be patient. Personally, i think you shouldn't do that to your ear because since my brother was going into the navy he had to get surgery to close it up. In the long run its not worth it.

  2. so0o...you have a size 6 now.

and you want to be a size 6??

...that doesn't really make sense. xP
