I lost my receipts for my doctor copays but still have the statements from my insurance company reflecting the amount I had to pay. Will the statements suffice or am I out of luck? I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

  1. Some plans require you have the actual receipts, some don't. You can call the doctor & get duplicate receipts or statements showing you paid for the service.

Just because your medical EOB shows you OWE your copay, doesn't mean you PAID your copay.

  2. The insurance statement (EOB) will work fine.

Remember you can also submit receipts for over the counter medications. Target now places a health total at the bottom of the receipt.
