Question on IRS?

Hi. I am an American living and working abroad. I was wondering, do I have to pay taxes? If not, do I have to file for them? Is there a break point above which i need to fill forms and another above which I will need to pay taxes?

Thanks for your advise.

  1. since you're online, go to www.irs.gov  and search "foreign income"

  2. Americans have to file returns and are taxed on their worldwide income but can take exclusions and foreign tax credits that generally wipe out any liability.   You can email me through my profile if you need additional information.
