  1. shaykh al Albaanee rahimahullaah wrote the book "Sifat as Salaatun Nabee" where he compiled all the authentic narrations pertaining to the salaah of the Prophet salallaahu alaihi wa salam.

You can read the Arabic book here:

And the English translation (The Prophet's Prayer Described) can be read here:

  2. Yes , i.e .. Ishraq Prayer,Tahajjud Prayer ,Duha Prayer,Istikharah Prayer.

  3. wa aleikumus salaam wa rahmatullah

nafl/sunnah/extra prayers are like fajr prayer.  2 rak'ah.

do you know how to make fajr?  (i'm assuming u do)

    if you don't, then

it's one time u read surah fatiha and other surah(s)

rukuu, 2 sujood, come back to standing position

read surah fatiha and other surah(s)

rukuu, 2 sujood, sit down(final tashahud)

salaam on right and left side

    EDIT:

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) didn't ever command us, nor practiced saying the niyyah/intention out loud.  the intention is in the heart and does not need to be spoken out.  But you should know in heart what you are praying.

For example, you start with intending to pray 2 rak'ah sunnah of duhr, and then while praying you decide you want to pray 4 rak'ah fard, you cannot do this.

check out the prophet's prayer book abul haarith posted, i also have other links for that book if you want.  It probably has a sub chapter explaining the issue of intention.

  4. Nafl prayers are performed exactly the same as the compulsory (Fard) prayers, however you pray it with the intention (Niyah) of Nafl, it's of two types:

    - Rawateb: which is done as 2 rak'ats before or after the Fard

    - other than the Rawateb: like the Tahajud prayer

as for the 2 rak'ats when you enter the mosque it is called 'Tahiyyat Al-Masjid' it is performed to greet the Lord of the mosque, Allah (swt)

  5. Peace Sister, I am here to help

Before make Niyyah- e.g. i am facing the kabah praying a 2 rakaat fardh for fajr, for you allah my lord etc.

Woman should raise the hands to the height of their shoulders when saying takbeer (allah huakbar) at start and read by praying

sub-haa-na-kal-laa-hum-ma-wa-bi ham di ka-wa-ta-ba-ra-kas-muka-wa ta-aa-laa jad-du-ka wa laa ilaa- ha ghai ruk.

    Then say: A-oozubilla- himinash- shaytaan-nirajeem.-bismilla-hir-rah-maa-...

Then pray Surah Fatiha, When finished Surah Fatiha THEN

Then recite a surat such as kul aoozu birabil Falaq, or Naas or any of your choice aslong as it is from Quran.

Then when finished surat, say Allah huakbar and go into rukoo.Remember when making rukoo a woman should ONLY bend over sufficiently so that her HANDS reach her Knees.

The HANDS should be placed on the KNEES, with the fingers kept together.

In rukoo the elbows should TOUCH the sides of her BODY.

WHILE in rukoo MAKE sure the eyes are fixed onto the feet.

When looking onto the feet say the following:

Sub-haa-na rab-biyal'a-zeem (how glorious is my lord the great) 3 Times.

Then say Allah hu-akbar and stand up after Rukoo (you should stand up straight)

Then say "sa-mi-allah-huliman-hamidah" and then straight after with a 1 sec gap "rab-ba-naa-la-kal hamd"

Then say Allahukbar and go into 1st sajdah, say "sub-haana rabbi-yal-a'laa" 3 times.

Make sure when in sajdah first place the knees on the ground, then the palms, then the Nose and lastly the forehead. The face should rest between the 2 hands with fingers pointing towwards the Qiblah. Make sure the feet are upright with the toes pointing towards the Qiblah. The ARMs should be flat on the ground in sajdah, woman must not raise their voice.

Then say allahuakbar after saying 3 times in sajdah and sit up straight, do not sit with the back crooked or stooped. Note that female does not sit on her left leg but sits on the floor. with bth feet on the right.of her.

    Now 2nd sajdah (bowing down)

Do the same as the 1st.

Then after saying 3 times like 1st sajdah get up again like when started but say allah huakbar and recite surah fatiha and surah.

When you are completing the prayer on the floor you should pray tashahhud and raise your index finger when saying "ash-hadu-allah-illaha" and then put finger back down. then pray Durood sharif, then durood ebrahim and then recute allah humma inna zalumto nafsi zulman kasee raw wallah yug faruzzanuba illah anta fagfirli-magfiraton-min-in-dikah-war ham ni-innakah antal-gha-foor rur raheem.

    Then salaam
