  1. its good that you have all your woods the same type

    same thing with ur irons

the only bad thing is if u get some graphite and steel irons and mix them

every type of club should have the same type of shaft(woods, irons, wedges)

  2. Modern drivers and fairway woods are designed with a lot of forgivness for off-center hits and graphite shafts being lighter are used most of the time to offer a lighter overall club allowing for higher clubhead speed (thus more distance).  Irons are usually shafted with steel and your set shouldn't present a problem.  Hopefully the flexes are the same even if the materials are different allowing you to make the same swing regardless of what club is in your hand.

  3. It doesn't matter. IT's normal now to have woods of graphite and irons of steel. Graphite shafted irons are often "targeted" towards older golfers or those with slower swing speeds....

  4. golf is a game of consistency

  5. Drivers and hybrids all seem to be graphite at this day and age. Irons tend to vary. I say that graphite shafts are for you if you have a slow swing with good control with your irons. As you speed your swing up though, I would go to steel irons. I would never play anything higher than an R flex in graphite irons. As far as drivers though they will be ok. The stiffness is really what you should be looking at. Make sure that all your clubs have the same stiffness rather than material. This will promote consistency in your tempo.

  6. Hello

Yes it is important to have the same shafts for your clubs as this will help you developping consistency. It all depends of your swing speed, you tempo, your ball flight  wich you did not

specify.Reason is that shaft has different torque and flex and

will give different ball flight wich could cause you lots of headaches because you will think that you are the one who

create the problem.Again when you shop for clubs it is very

important to specify your swing speed, if your tempo is slow

or fast, your ball flight, the number of games played per year.

Best materials i suggest you is graphite shaft and 17-4 stainless irons.

  7. I'd recommend have the same in all your woods, and the same in all your irons, just as you have them now.
