Question on Wedgwood Piece?

I have a rather unique item I am trying to research. It's an Oval Wedgwood Box (8.25” x 4.5” x 4.5”) signed on the underside (Hand signed in Gold– ‘Wedgwood 1995’) as well as stamped

‘JH WEDGWOOD Made in Ireland’. Just wondering if anyone else out there has seen similar and can give me some info, it’s value as a collectible and who(m) might have signed it.

Thanks!!!

Here r some pictures of the item.

  1. It's from the Wedgwood Annuals jasperware Collection, or so it looks to me.

You can research eBay (enter 'wedgwood jasperware' and see everything) and other sites to find it's worth, but they are recent and mass-produced. But there are Wedgwood collectors out there. I didn't see one exactly like it on eBay, you could list it and let the collectors' bids show you it's worth, if you're looking to sell. I'm sure you'd get a fair price that way. lots of wedgwood searchers out there. Good luck!

  2. Check with http://www.kovels.com/.  They really have a great site and have written over 100 books on antiques.

  3. I always thought of Wedgewood as English, not Irish, but it sure looks like it to me.

I would start off at the Wedgewood website and see what they can tell you.

The box is really very pretty.  Good Luck
