Question on aftermarket speakers?

im looking to get some after market speakers to run off my Pioneer DEH-P3000IB. i was wondering if there are any good speakers to run off just the head unit? It's a small car, a 2002 Chevy Cavalier so I don't think I need too much power right?

The main concern is the clarity on the speakers: good mids and highs with decent lows. I'd prefer the Coaxial speakers as I don't really want to cut anything in it.

Need 4x6 in front and 6x9 in back.

im also open to getting an amp if i need to. i just wanted people's opinions on which one to go on.

Price Range ~$300 or so.

thanks for any information i can get

  1. Go with Alpine they make the best stuff that is affordable Phoenix Gold is the Best in competition

  2. alpine for sure is top of the line i got them in my car, also infinity makes pretty good componet speakers, you wont need an amp for your speakers the cd player will power them just fine, if you do wind up having to cut wires disconnect the battery lol my brother kearned the hard way and now i have my hands full tryin to figure out why his cd player wont haha

  3. you can buy some jbl speakers for about that price range they'll provide very good highs mids aaand lows and since you need some 4 by 6's then get good front speakers so that those small speakers won't distort plus they're the closest to you

if you don't like jbl then polk audio and infinity make some pretty nice speakers and since you want good highs infinity's will give them to you

maybe you can get some jbl's or polks for the back and infinity for the front
