  1. Look for an amplifier for your speakers. It doesnt have to be installed in the trunk, it can be put under a seat, behind a panel, etc.

The crackles and such are probably a result of your speakers being too powerful for your factory Ford amplifier. Make sure the guys at best buy bypassed that amplifier and if needed, buy another one. Since all your stuff is Alpine, id stick with Alpine.

If that still fails... look into a JL Audio "Cleanweep". This eliminates ALL other sounds from your audio system and makes it so only strictly audio comes through your speakers.

I have one in my car, didnt think it would make that much difference, but I was very suprised.

    good luck

  2. It could be cheap speacker wire or not a high enough gauge. Id try 14 gauge wiring and u should also purchace a noise eliminator, (Not expensive) here is a link for one....

  3. You may not have good clean connections, or cheap speaker wire, that would give you static, or try XM  radio to see if it comes in clearer. The CD's may be dirty, or you may have a crack in one of the speakers. Could be a number of things.

  4. like he said...it could be several things,,but if everything looks good with the wiring    id go with a amp
