Question on cold water gloves?

i worked a job where we were always putting our hands in freezing water and we had these gloves that let the water into your gloves, but your hands stayed warm...i can use a pair now...if you know would you be specific please...thanks, bill

Those were like divers gloves. they are made of neoprene and allow a very thin layer of water next to the skin as insulation.
