  1. Just cos there is one doesn't mean there will be more.

  2. Nope.

As long as you've removed the one it had and got its legs too it should be fine.

  3. Ticks aren't like fleas - one tick usually just means one tick. However, wherever your dog picked up this tick, she may have picked up more, so give her a thorough check just to be sure.

I've removed several ticks from my dogs over the years and never did anything special to treat the bite. I've even taken ticks off of ME and never put anything on the bite (what can I say? I like to walk in the woods with my dogs, and ticks happen!). Within a few days you probably won't even know it was there. An antiseptic won't do any harm, so if it it'll put your mind at ease to use one, go ahead.

Frontline will not prevent ticks from getting on your dog, and it's unfortunately not going to stop 100% of ticks from biting your dog, either. Or it's very possible that this tick was only there for a few hours and just hadn't died yet. Frontline can sometimes take a little while to work.

  4. Because you used frontline, no more ticks should come. Just check every so often to be sure. you can check out the website below for natural tick and flea removal if you want to tale extra precaution.

  5. hi

even if you just treated her with frontline two weeks ago there's still that chance of ticks crawling their way back to you pet's coat especially if it is tick season in your area - which is spring and summer in some places but can be year round in milder climates - so it is best that you check for ticks after every walk outside.  For more info on ticks and how to remove them, here's a link:

  6. Ticks are not like fleas it is possible to have just one. Front line would have killed the tick if it was on there when you treated her but will not stop her from picking them up.

Once you have removed the tick properly an antiseptic cream like savlon or sudocrem will not do any harm.

  7. Put some form of grease on the area you have taken the tick from (ointment or petroleum jelly) this will stop the tick from breathing in the unlikely event that you have left the head in.

  8. I hope u pulled out the tick with tweezers. the front line should kill the tick in any event
