Question on getting a buzz cut:?

I'm considering getting a hair cut tomorrow, but I do not know which grade(s) I should get my cut in - 0 through 6. Should I consider different grades for the top of my head and my sides? If so, what should the difference be? Is 4 on top, 2 on side too much of a difference? 4 / 3? Etc., etc.

Pictures of what different buzz cut lengths look like would be helpful.

i think you should leave a little bit of hair on the top of your head, but make it shorter on sides and everything below the top of your ears. I don't thin you should go bald completely, but maybe 5 on top, and 2 on the back and sides.

good luck, I'm looking at a picture of a military guy and I'm thinking that its the best way to compare it to what you should get. I can't attach it sorry.
