Question on human evolution

Question

if humans did evolve from an animal. then what are u going to evolve into next ?

Has the human changed any in the last 2000 years? You know they haven't! So what is this evolution, some kind of thing that waits a couple centuries and transforms itself into a monster and duplicates people? You'd better lock your doors, or the "evoluted screwed dude" will change your chemistry!

Could be we'll evolve into gods or into jelly fish.  

One misconception about evolution is that it's going somewhere - it always gets better - people get bigger or smarter.  But that's not how it works.  Evolution only means change - and that change can take us in any direction.  Just like you are not absolutely EXACTLY like your mother or father - you have changed slightly - that's evolution.  Take thousands or millions of generations and you get differences which are quite vast.

Humans are constantly evolving as we have done since we diverged from our ancestors. Evolution through natural selection occurs constantly in the world around us--evolution does not move in a set direction (ie. things getting better, more intelligence ect.) but it produces better adapted creatures, who have a higher chance of survival, and will go on to reproduce. Humanity has diverged slighty from this trend as our phyisiology rarely dictates our chances of survival ( in first world countries). Humans evolve based on principals of sexual selection, genetic drift, and a dimished sense of natural selection.

Nobody knows the answer to that question.

First we have to go through another ice age and life as we know it will be no more.  The earth will replenish itself and maybe produce another set of living matter.  There may not be any humans at all or intelligent life may not look like us anymore.

As for where our evolution is going, nobody knows. People that think a thousand years is a long time don't get how long evolution takes.

Arthur C Clarke once used the Empire State Building to represent the age of the earth. To represent how long humans have been around, recognizable as humans, you'd have to place a fair size book on to of the TV tower. All the history of our civilization would be a dime.

Evolution isn't having two homo eretus give birth to a homo sapien. Each generation would by just a little diffrent then the preceeding, but no great jumps.

All Scientific studies that claim to support evolution contradict themselves. There is not a solid base to believe in evolution.
