I have a 04 Dodge Dakota through Chrysler Financial, I fell three months behind leaving me a balance of $1,700.. well I paid $1,200 and had until July 31st to pay the rest of the $500 or the repo notice would expire, I didn't have it. Well I called them and they said that my account was in a collection agency and they were not sure what they were going to do with the vehicle yet, but yet Chrysler still calls me 10-12 times a day. I still have the vehicle. What does all this mean??? Are they going to repo it??

  1. probably not. they keep giving a chance with the phone calls, i guess they figure that you'll pay it eventually. not for $500

  2. I fell behind on my Camaro payments and my car was reposessed.  It was VERY traumatic, but I paid what I owed and got my car back.  I have learned to NOT miss payments.

  3. well Im not an expert on these kind of situations but it sounds like u better hide ur truck somewhere cause its getting repoed my friend

  4. pretty good sign when your behind... so best answer would be come up wit the money

  5. Wouldn't you, if you loaned somebody a bunch of money and they missed 3 payments?  Nobody knows the future, least of all us (a bunch of total strangers).  I would think there might be a pretty high likelihood that they'll pick it up pretty soon.  But who knows?  Not me.

  6. They'll repo your car if they can.

Don't leave it parked outside your garage, and you'd be wise to cover the ID tag under your windshield by slipping a piece of scrap paper there so it can't be read.  If you can park in a private lot when at work you'd be wise to remove your license plates when the car is unattended and put them on again to drive home.

Collection agencies will make your life h**l until you get current on your payments.

If it's a gas hog, maybe reposession isn't a bad thing!  You've already got a blemished credit report from missing 3 payments.
