Question on royal mail - about posting to ireland from england?

i sent a book in post on monday to ireland now i sent it 2nd cass n i just thot today will it get there - shud it have gone by air mail? im just a bit concerned coz the man in post office never said anything when i got it wieghed n paid for it. :S

had a quick look on royal mail website but didnt know where to look

Did you send it to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.  If you sent it to NI, then it will prob arrive a little later than normal.  If you sent it to ROI, you should have sent it airmail, and it would have cost more than 1st class.

Postie answering.  Antrim is in NI  and therefore is within the UK (I have been to Cullybackey its a nice place).  So sending it 2nd class is fine-  Normally 3 to 5 day service as with rest of UK but allow a full week before you start to worry.

If you used the post Code which is roughly BT42 it will be slightly faster.
