Is (radical x)/(x) able to be simplified?

  1. (radical x)/x = 1/(radical x) but that answer is not the preferred way.

    Math "etiquite" prefers radicals not to be in the denominator.


  2. sqrt(x) / x = 1 / sqrt(x) = x^(-1/2)

    depending on the situation, you could either leave it as sqrt(x) / x or x^(-1/2)

    however, sqrt(x) / x is the reduced rationalized form we would normally leave it in


  3. Yes, but not necessary.

    (√X) / X = [(√X) / X ][(√X)/(√X)] = X / X√X = 1 / √X
