What I need answering is, do any brand of bindings fit with any brand of board? and do any brand of boots fit with any brand of bindings?

I'm a female, 5'1 and I currently I ride a 138. I found a board, the Forum Aura, also a 138 and was thinking of purchasing it.

and also, I liked the Burton Citizin white/tan bindings (hoping it matches decently)

And does the size matter? How does the Large differ from a Medium when having to do with bindings? what is right for me? (foot size is 7)

Also, any info or personal ratings for each of these items would be appreciated.

  1. okay to start off.... not ever brand bindings will fit any board... burton is the sole company to make this a hastle for everyone... they started back a while ago making a different fit for the bindings so you were forced to buy burton boards if you wanted their bindings... most of them work fine with any company board but some are burton only... i had burton cartels and they worked on my ride dh dfc, i currently am using p1's on a rome flag.. costed me about 700 for the hole setup but thats a hole nother story haha... but for binding size the only thing you really want to worry about is the toe hang... you just want to make sure that the toe of your boot isnt too far over the side of the board as to touch the ground then carving... thats just asking for trouble... but a medium should do fine with your size shoe if you have any snowboard questions feel free to contact me (i know i sound like a stupid **** when i say that haha)

  2. Q: do any brand of bindings fit with any brand of board?

No, the Burton "3D" pattern uses 3 bolts in a triangle and all others use a square 4 bolt pattern. Most modern binding have the holes for both bolt patterns or some use a different mounting disc - just check when buying. You can see in the photos of that particular binding that it has both sets of holes.

    I always recommend these: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/Ride-LXh-...

Q: do any brand of boots fit with any brand of bindings?

Yes, I've never seen boots that wouldn't work with a particular binding. This used to be a problem with "step in" bindings, but strap in bindings are pretty universal.

    Q: does the size matter?

Yes, the binding size does matter - you need to go to the binding web site and pick the correct size according to your foot / boot size. The Burton web site shows that Women size M fits size 6 to 8:

    Good Luck

  3. it does matter if the boots are clip in on the bindings. if the bindings are clip-in then you have to have clip-in boots. i would recomend not getting clip-in bindings because they fall of more easily. hope this helps!!
