  1. Global warming, resources, and generally the push for a greener world and industry.  Global warming melts the snow...you know, the essential part of SNOWboarding?  We consume wood at such a high rate that it's bad for the environment, so some companies like Arbor use more environmentally friendly materials like Bamboo in their boards.  Bamboo grows faaasssttt.  That's the most of it.

  2. Snowboarding is a sport geared towards young people. And young people care about what is happening in the environment. So the industry needs to take steps toward more environmentally safe products. Global warming is also a hot topic. Last year Europe got almost no snow, it really was a wake up call. If we want to be in the game 25 years from now we have to make changes on not only the product, but the packaging. If we don't all do our part to help reduce global warming or we might just be out of luck when all the snow is gone.

There is a good article in the Future Snowboard Trade News. The article gives awards for companies that are doing their part and a bit of explanation on what they are doing.

  3. Global warning is really the biggest issue that snowboarders are concerned with and although i hate to say it, probably the only issue most care about. Anything that affects the snow will concern us.

  4. Global Warming=LIE

If the globe is getting hotter, why it my town getting record lows, and about a foot of snow. Normally it is not as cold this time of year where I am at. The mountains are getting record snow this year too.
