Question on the army..............?

I'm 16(17 in June) i live in the UK and have done all my life. i have the lowest form of asthma, and the british army wont seem to risk it, I'm healthy and have high fitness levels. Apparently the US army have different laws on low forms of asthma. Will i be able to get into the US army? please let me know..

  1. You definitely will be able to.  Worse case scenario, they will require a waiver from your doctor.  All it is is a note that says that you have asthma, but it can be controlled.

I believe you have to be a citizen or have a green card.  The United States Army website has the option to talk with a virtual recruiter.  You may consider asking them your questions and see what is said.  You could also call a recruiter from the list on the internet.  I don't know if you would need a waiver for your asthma and whether you not being a citizen could make that harder.  

  3. My recruiter told me you have to be a US Citizen to join, but I've heard of non-citizens joining. So you'll have to talk to a recruiter more about that issue. And also, if you have asthma you might get disqualified during the physical. But you can get a waiver for that, and probably will for a low form of asthma. But talk to a recruiter about that just in case.
