what do they mean by:

enter the amount of your parents income tax for 2007?

how much they paid

or got back?

  1. It's based on your parents' earnings if you are under 24. I would verify it with your Financial Aid Advisor. If mistakes are made, it will take longer to get your financial aid funds.

  2. It is the amount of their tax liability for the year - taken directly off their tax form.

    It is NOT how much they got back and NOT how much they may have paid when they sent in their tax forms. It is also NOT the amount of money they had withheld from their paychecks.  

    The question should say exactly what line number to look on on their tax forms to get that info.... (see example below)

  3. how much they paid...it should say on the income tax form when they filed it.
