okay so, i just started using last.fm cos my friend recommended it to me. the thing is, how do you stick to listening to a band instead of having to keep going back and searching for their music page?

plus, are most of the songs only previews? i added loads a songs for 'my library' but each time i search for the songs i wanna hear, i cant seem to play the full tracks.

  1. Of course not. Music is not free. Writers write it. Artists record it. Labels distribute it. Stations play it.

Those folks all need to be paid. So if people like it - they buy it (in a perfect world). Basically they ask that you pay 99 cents per track. But you are allowed to preview the songs before paying to be sure you like them. That's what's in your library.

Some folks have found ways around that, but I won't be repeating them here. I'm one of those old fashioned people who feel that you shouldn't steal stuff.

I'm not saying you're a thief. I'm alluding to the fact that many younger people think music is free for the taking because of all the file sharing and swapping that goes on. You've been brought up with it and many people in the music industry are going to great lengths to re-educate those who have been given the impression that music is free.

This is just a reminder that people's families rely on the moneys generated by those songs. It's how many people make their living
