Question regarding my front tooth..?

Okay, all my teeth are in pretty good condition not crooked or anything, but my right front tooth. I'm 16 years old and it is still a baby tooth! So you can guess what that looks like, one big tooth in the front. From far away it looks like I have a missing front tooth. It's so ugly, noone has ever really seemed to care but it really bothers me. I've had this tooth since I was a baby and it never fell out, since far up my gums above it is the front tooth that was supposed to come down and knock out the baby tooth thats in its way. The dentists don't want to do anything with it right now, they are unsure of what to do. They suggested dental implants, flippers for after if they remove it, and also other procedures but they don't want to do any of that since I'm 16 and still growing it could mess up my jaw or something. Is there anything that they CAN do to fix the appearance at least? I mean, they can't just pull out the baby front tooth and put in some kind of bridge or just give me the flipper as a filler for now?

  1. Is your grown up tooth in your gums?  if so i have the same problem with my canines. They pulled them out, waited to see if the permanent teeth grew in, and they didn't. Maybe yours will. If not (and the dentist will tell you when enough time has gone by) you might have to go to the orthopedic surgeon, so they can uncover your tooth, stick a brace on it, then a chain on the brace. If you get that done you have to visit your orthodontist once a month, so they can slowly pull the tooth down using the chain. they don't pull it they just ease it into it's spot, so it's supposedly painless after you heal from the surgery.

    hope i helped a little :)
