Question regarding uniform numbers!?

Hello, I'm a Freshmen and today we took pictures for Freshmen, JV, and Varsity. When we got our jersey and tights for the pictures the coach asked us what number we wanted to wear. So then I got #21 and we took the pictures then returned everything back. Is this our pernament number or not?

most players have a favorite number they have been wearing for years that goes along with what position they play---the only problem with keeping this number is if an older more experienced player has already been wearing it on the team

Probably unless a senior would want that number then they would get it.

I would imagine that you would keep the same numbers that your got your pictures taken with. It would only make sense.
