Question related Pump Curve?

Question

In the centrifugal pump curve, there are two axis , in X capacity m3/h, and in Y total dynamic head, but how come there are som many different lines in the XY quadrent, could you explain the lines?

There may be several lines showing the effect of different impellor selection.   See link below for details on how to read pump curve

*Other lines are given for changing mechanical as well as process conditions.

*pump curves will be for several impeller diameters and different speeds, and power consumption.
