Question to EVPers?

Question

For those EVPers who believe in the non-acoustic model of EVP, e.g., "the spirit impresses the information directly on the tape or recording device", my question is why do you use microphones at all then?

For those EVPers who believe in the acoustic model of EVP, e.g., a spirit speaks audible words despite not having vocal chords, how is it possible that the recording device can pick up the sound while the human ear cannot? This especially goes out to those who claim to have Class A EVPs where the supposed ghost voice has a volume nearly as loud as those of the ghost hunters making the recording.

Well, I EVP and do not use a microphone. I don't believe the spirits talk loud. I know they don't talk loud because I have to put the volume on all the way to hear them when I'm done recording and even then I can't quite understand what they are saying.

Then there's the old puzzler of how on the TAPS show the EVP gets recorded on the hand-held device but not the other recording equipment.

EVPs are like rods and orbs--just anomalies.

I have recorded a few odd EVP's on investigations,  but I am also a ham radio operator and know how easy it is to pick up stray radio harmonics.  With all the CB radios and ham radios out there it is impossible to claim that an EVP can only be a ghost.  For me it would have to be a direct answer to a specific question asked.  I found a web site that has an EVP on it,  it sounds like a voice saying "seventy three". That is a common ham radio way to sign off after talking.  I just don't know if they are real or not.

I believe that I have caught two instances of EVP's on tape... but what I do not understand is why the samples on the larger sites (on this subject) are so short.... and so muffled. I do not hear what they quote the entity as saying. I hear something else. One site said they couldn't understand one of the words and that one was clear as a bell, he was saying "puppy" and the sit quoted the entity as possibly saying "horse". In another, after a female entity distinctly says "my father is here"... they quoted the male voice as saying "I'm dead" I swear he said "I.m Dad"..... It seems that no one can agree on these far away sounding voices. And did you notice that females come out clear while most males have this electronic robot quality to them... what is that about?

because they are not speaking mechanically, but rather using energy. If you send out an electronic radio wave, your ear cannot hear it without the help of another electronic device. Thus its very simple why your gonna need something other than your ear to hear ghostly audio. Ghosts are energy, not flesh and bone.

I have said before, I dont use microphones nor anything that amplifies the recordings. I have also stated that by doing so, your increasing the chance of picking up audio from other sources not related to what your trying to investigate.  The possibility of making noise is endless. Even though we cant hear it, dogs can hear noises we aren't picking up. Rodents hear noises dogs cant. Stars  make noise we cant hear without something to record it on , I don't believe they use air to vibrate vocal chords. As for anything else, I am not a physicist. I dont have all the answers because all the answers havent been discovered yet. This phenom is still being investigated, so its way too early to come to a conclusion as to what causes it and how it happens.

In answer to Peter D, on that show and others, EVPs have been detected on both audio and video recorders. Both have happened at the same time, one example. The investigation at the Stanley hotel in Estes Park Colorado.

It's non-acoustic EMF, but an attached microphone acts as a bi-phasic attenuator which modulates the spirit signal frequency spectrum into a form better suited for sound recording and reproduction. Everybody knows that. Geez.
