Question to all my cricketing friends?

Rehman is back and he has a few questions. I watched my first IPL KKK vs KiX. Few observations from this match and general performance.

1. Very good performance from Hussey. I have the feeling so far that the foreign players have had tremendous contribution on this game. More so from Australia. Many player have been the mainstay for many of the teams , prominent contributions also from the Sri Lankan players. I think the game would be lacklusture particularly without these 2 teams. Aussies have been leading so far. Agree or disagree?

2. I realize there is a lot of opposition against cheerleaders. I understand they are not common in traditional societies, however they need to earn their living. Some sides have been paying these girls very low salaries with food and lodging. To my mind this is expoloitation of poor East European girls. What are your thoughts in general. No need to be biased by my opinion. Can these girls be put to better use, do you find this a bot degrading??

  1. welcome back rehman bhai

  2. I agree the Aussie players dominated the first 4-5 games,  but

there were few outstanding performances from Indians too.

With players having to attend the international duty, IPL will be

missing them and some teams may have problems and are

struggling with their exit. Hayden, Symonds, Hussey, Sehwag,

Gambhir, Sharma, Sangakkara are excelled with bat. McGrath,

Warne, Irfan, Sohail, Zaheer all have bowled well and specially

Sohail getting 6 wickets in 4 overs is a phenomenal feet in IPL.

Cheerleaders - lets not even go there.....there is no place for

them in Cricket and I am not in favor of them being around the

cricket field. It is sort of distraction to some and I do not see

any need specially in those skimpy clothing...I do not know

what they are paid, but RC team had Redskin cheerleaders

for a month or so. To be frank, if you are not a top player,

exploitation is always present. Even the players the way they

were auctioned speaks more than I can say anything about

    this.

When there is no other cricket I have nothing else to follow

other than IPL - timing wise it is OK that I get to watch some

games and as date I have not seen an entire match. Mostly I

watch the highlights and read for about 20-30 minutes every

day. I believe we may loose interest as the teams do not have

all the international players playing. Sort of getting too much

hype about IPL. I am already feeling 14 games for each team

is too many and may be need to cut to half.

  3. Welcome back.

  4. 1) I Think "lacklusture"  of these 2 teams will not effect IPL

teams, coz as u hav seen in 1st match, mcmellum scored

150 runs &tht match bcame onesided ...i mean rahul's team

surrendered to opponents...which evryone has expected..but

if take a look at Deccan chargers vs Royals challengers..it

was  a very close match which is a real entertainment....

    2)  "cheerleaders" are not a problem...those who r intersted in match..should concentrate on the match only....

    3) As usaual....Australian fans vs Indian Fans

    4) i donno how he's managing the young youth who had no experience at all.....Deccan chargers(not rohith sharma though...) should learn from them...

    5) lack of consistency frm international players like    gilly, gibbs, styris,Vaas etc....but i  hav to admit tht ROHITH SHARMA will b a big star for India in future..

  5. bring idle baobay bar girls they would do better

some mighty indutrialists are obsessed with white skins

  6. Welcome back Rehman, I to have been missing for a time. I haven't seen any of the IPL games, but from what I read here, Aussie batsmen have led the run scoring. I do not approve of the cheerleaders in any sport, but in cricket, it is inexcusable. This is a game that has strictly been a model for decorum in the past, & I totally disagree with these semi-clad females posturing here.Rehman, I hope your week ahead will be a pleasant, stress free one.

  7. Salaam Rehman.

    Welcome back.

My favorite IPL team is the Mumtbai Indians bc, of Sanath & Sachin but, there not playing as openers. (Sachin)

I also support the MI bc, i wanted to go with the strong & popular team.

Yes, i agree with all the non Indian cricketers contrubting in the IPL.....Pakistan also is helping out the IPL.

I think IPL is cool with cheerleaders & the 20-20 format. Eastern or western the cheerleaders are doing fine as for entertaimnet.

Well Rehman. I remember when u asked what language SL speaks?

    Ok.

SL people speak Sinhala & some of the words u can understand is bc, the language is origin of the Ind0-Aryan however, Urdu & Hindi can understand each other of course.

The second language of SL is Tamil & English. However, Tamil language came from souh India AKA Tamil Nadu.

The Tamil & Sinhala is totaly different & currently SL is having a conflict civil war for over 30+ years. (1983)

  8. Hi,

1)For the first question yes ..the Australians were contributing good , but now the local lads like Goni, Abhishek Nayar, wridhimn Saha ..are going great guns....

    2) The cheerleaders are not Cheap , they are paid big bucks and i see no harm in having them here.. its just another form of entertainment .. Few Political Parties just makes a Big Mess....

    3) Iam Fine thanx...

    4) Sharne Warne ...The spin wizard has done a comendable job with his team ... .he has ensured they are playing in high spirits and they are gelling as a team and performing as a cohesive unit.

5 Deccan Chargers are really realy unlucky

    cheers
