Literally,  I think there is a serious concern of over population that in your question.. maybe mankind is heading for extinction by means of overpopluation. We are signing our death warrants in term of depleting our resources....

It depends how you look at it. Overpopulation is a factor... to depleting our resources... we are leading animals to extinction. We are next.
