They vary but as a rough rule side handle battons come in sizes of around 21" and 24" inches. What size is issued varies between force and job role.

Extendable battons come in an even wider range typically around 16" to 31" inches again dependant on force and role.

I have no idea how 'wide' they are.

They don't use truncheons anymore they use them stick things, or am I misreading the question lol
