I have been playing vball for 3 years now and have been so passionate about it up until recently. I don't have a good chance of making the varsity team at school and I am not even sure if I want to be that serious about the sport anymore. My concern is that I have put so much time into getting better. Also, I don't want to look back and wish I persued it. It just feels like I am giving up on the sport because I probably won't make the school team, which I don't want to do. I will be going to college in 2 years and I have to decide soon if this is something I want to persue or not. Anyone feel this way? Advice?

  1. wowwwwwwwww

this sounds like my life storyy!!!

    PLEASE PURSUE IT

dont make a stupid decision like me

okayyy;; volleyball tryouts were about a week ago and i was so excited to try out. i LOVED the sport. i went to a ton of vball camps this summer and i had really improved.  then i came to the first day of tryouts and i was like "wo, theres no way im going to make it". so i made a rush decision and decided not to come back the next day.i was reallyyy upset that night because i had already regretted not going to the second day of tryouts.

the next day i got a phone call: it was the vball coach.

he told me that he saw potential in me, and determination.

he was bummed that i didnt come to the second day of tryouts &&even though i had my weaknesses (serving, attacking)

he said that i would have made the team. but since i didnt go to the second day of tryouts, he had to give my position away to another player

so i learned my lesson...dont give up on something because you never know what could have happened;; my coach believed in me when i didn't even believe in myself

best of luckk...you'll do fine in tryouts

  2. I felt the same way after 3 years. I ended up not making the team last year due to no passion. I used to love the sport and put everyhting I had into it, and once I decided I wasn't sure about my passion, when I tried out, I didn't give my best and didn't make it.

Go to a tryout and see how you feel, if you still feel good about it, continue, if not, stop going to tryouts. That's the best advice I could give.
