Questions about Army MOS 89D Explosive Ordinance Disposal ?

I have a couple of Questions about Army MOS 89D Explosive Ordinance Disposal.

1. where is AIT?

2. what is AIT like, ie a lot of book work or all hands on?

3. Is AIT hard?

4. Whats the job like?

5. Where can I be stationed?

Thanks for the advice and yes I know it is very dangerous but I can save lives.

Both. Job has lots of admin and hands on. Lots of follow on training constantly through career. New stuff is always coming out and since you could be called in to excavate world war era ordnance you gotta know the old stuff too. Can be stationed everywhere. It's actually not that dangerous. The men and women there are highly trained professionals and know what they are doing. Technology has come a long way in EOD as well. Figure as an EOD tech your safer around explosives than anybody else.
