I just finished ordering checks from ChecksUnlimited.com for the first time and I thought it was odd that they didn't ask for my banking institution or what branch it is. Do they somehow use my routing number and my bank account number to find out what bank I'm using?

Based on the ABA number associated with the account Checks Unlimited will be able to determine the branch you are assigned to within your current state.
