I'm starting my first year in high school on sept 2nd and I have a little questions in mind.

How will high school be like?

What if none of my friends my elementary aren't in any of my classes?

Is it scary on the first day?

What if I can't find my classes?

Will I meet new friends?

Why is there a "girl code"?

Is homework hard?

That's all the questions I have. Answer them please? Thanks ;]

  1. How will high school be like?

High school will be exactly the same as 8th grade. Except, you will be surrounded by older teens and you might have more freedom depending on your school rules.

What if none of my friends my elementary aren't in any of my classes?

Oh, I wouldn't worry about this at all! I was in a Physical Science class with absolutely NONE of my friends OR old classmates. ALL new people, literally. By the end of the year I had made new friends. And since they were all new and didn't know each other, I wasn't left out or anything. Chances are, if you have a big group of friends, you'll be with them...

Is it scary on the first day?

It's wonderful! It's exciting... To see your old friends, to see which homeroom your in, getting your locker, giving&getting gifts, meeting all your teachers, being treated like the "babies" of high school. It's not scary unless your intimidated by older teens.

What if I can't find my classes?

Usually all classes are close to each other. Most of mine were in the same building. And hey, they'll cut you some slack if you get lost! They always do!

    Will I meet new friends?

Definitely. Especially if your going to a separate high school (new school). You just have to be really open and talkative. Or try and not close yourself from other people.

Why is there a "girl code"?

    I don't know what a "girl code" is.. ???

    Is homework hard?

For me it was exactly the same as 8th grade. Same amount and everything. The only difference was that some of the homework challenged you to become a brilliant thinker, which will only be good for you in the long run.

Please choose me best answer if I helped =) thanks.

  2. It seems to me like Highschool is a love it or hate it experience..

to answer your questions from my experience

How will high school be like? Ok... on the plus side you'll probaly meet a new friend or 2 that will stick through you throughout Highschool on the down side there's a lot of self-centered mean people but ignore them- its kind of a good taste of life there's gonna be people you like and people that will annoy the h**l out of you.

What if none of my friends my elementary aren't in any of my classes? None of mine were, I met a friend within the first month and I'm not Mr social so yeah its suprising to me when I think of it but it happened.

Is it scary on the first day? Nah, actually to me it was a breath of fresh air, while I don't like highschool Middle school was absolutely awful so I was glad to break free from that h**l hole.

What if I can't find my classes? Don't worry, Custodians and staff will be on campus to help you find the room numbers just like they helped me.

Will I meet new friends?  Yep, I think more then ever you'll have a good chance because there's so many people so there's lots of 'variety' to choose from.

Why is there a "girl code"?  I have no clue what your talking about, you mean dress code? Well they had one in middle school so its nothing new.

Is homework hard? Depends on your classes. My 9th grade report card is probaly the most ugly looking out of all my years in highschool, I don't think the homework is hard I think 9th graders tend to be more lazy. HOWEVER, they don't baby you as much as in middle school so you really gotta do your work and study or you really won't pass.

When 10th grade kicked in, I changed and I was motivated to do better.

  3. How will high school be like?

*Well, I was in your shoes last year and asking all the same questions and I'm here to tell you that although it may not seem like it the first week or two, high school is way better than middle school.  You have so much more freedom and you will have so much fun.  Just try not to stress or be nervouse and you'll be just fine.

What if none of my friends my elementary aren't in any of my classes?

*There is an extremely good chance that at least one of your friends will be in each of your classes.  The students get mixed up and you'll have different people in each of your classes.  Plus you'll learn to make new friends quickly.

Is it scary on the first day?

*The first day is a little scary, but once you're there it's not so bad and you're not in this alone.  If you need some help just stick with a friend or ask a teacher for some help.  They'll definitely help you since it's your first day.

What if I can't find my classes?

*What I did was went to the school the day before to find out where my classes were and how to find specific rooms.  You could try this, but if you can't, don't worry about it.  They're very easy to find even though it may not seem like it and if you need help there should be teachers in the hall that are there for your help.

    Will I meet new friends?

*Definitely.  In high school most cliques break apart and people merge together in one huge group.  People are very much more mature in high school than middle school, so they learn not to be so selective.

Why is there a "girl code"?

*Actually I'm really not sure what a 'girl code' is.  My high school doesn't have one, so I'm sorry I couldn't help you on that one.

    Is homework hard?

*Homework can be hard at sometimes and normally you get a lot more of it, but if you just try hard and make sure you have time for school work and friends.

**So just don't be nervous and after a week or two you'll be used to everything, so no sweat and I hope you have a good time your first year!!!

  4. I remember my first day going into first year. Im in my 3rd year now and its not so bad.

High School is great once you get used to it

If none of your friends are in the same classes this gives you a chance to make some new friends plus it will give you all more to talk about

Its not scary just kinda nerve-racking but that settles down

Normally they get older kids to be your sort of tourguides for the first week or they'll give you a map =)

You will meet new friends if you make the effort

I dont know what a girl code is =/

Homework isnt hard they give it to you according to your level but if it gets hard you tell you tell your teacher okay?

    Good luck =D

  5. How is Highschool you may ask? First 3 years are very easy.

You can always make moar friends and better friends.

The open day, unfortunately I did not attend one. I just choice the best private school in my proximity.

There are maps, office staff, teachers and kind students who will help you find a class. Just calm down and you can follow the other kids.

You will meet new friends, everyone does.

Homework is very easy if you pay even the slightest attention in class.
