6. We go to Europe of 4 people, so, we are thinking whether can book a double room private/ 2 beds private / 3 beds private for 4 people as we are all girls and wanna to stay together. Do you know in general, whether it is allowed to do so in the Italy hostels?

  1. Just to let you know, most hotels here charge by the person, not the room. If you say you want four people to a room, they most likely will be able to accommodate you. They tend to store extra cots under the main beds. More expensive hotels have couches that pull out.

Just keep in mind though that you will probably pay the same price if you got two rooms.

  2. Hi..in Florence there is a good hotel, with low price, very central.. hotel ferretti

  3. You might be interested into looking into convents as a relatively cheap lodging alternative. Some of these do offer four beds in a room. The attached site has information about convents in Rome, florence and Venice where they accept travellers. All of these include breakfast and some offer other meals cheaply. My brother and his wife stayed at one in Rome and loved it.

  4. First off when you book rooms Unless its an American hotel they usually only have two single beds in them!! . That is a double room for most of Euorpean hotels and its really funny to see Americans come over here and find that out and not have enough beds in a hotel that is totally booked. Sometime you can get a triple but I've never seen a quad. It depends on your age if you can stay in a hostel. You usually have to be under 30 and single I think. But you cant leave your stuff there when you are not there so when you go sighting seeing you have to take all your luggage and stuff which is a pain. I use www.selectitaly.com for cheap hotels. Hope this helps.
