Hello everyone. I was just wondering if someone could maybe answer some of these questions about Katowice! :) I have some friends that live over there, so I am just curious about the city. :)

One of my friends from Katowice said that sometimes you can "see the air" Is there a pollution problem? If there is a pollution problem, are there any efforts being made to clean things up a little bit?

In general, is the economy doing good over there right now?

What kind of standard of living do citizens of Katowice have? Is there a wide range of standards of living or do most people share the same standard of living?

If you have any other interesting information about Katowice, please share that too!

Thank you to all of those people who decide to answer this! :)

  1. Katowice is a lovely, delightful, metropolitan city in southern Poland. I was there in September, 2001, for a conference, and loved every minute. Food was great, people friendly (although I don't speak Polish). Six months before I went, I discovered a web cam which looked down upon a central transportation area, along a boulevard, and in the distance to the huge, sputnik-like sports arena. You might try looking for a Katowice web camera to let you have a look at the city.
