Questions about Kayaking?

Question

I am wanting to Kayak in slow rivers/creeks and in lakes.

Can one person easily navigate in a two seater? (if I get one and find myself by myself at times)

Are inflatables hard to control?

I would like a "sit on top". Any negatives of those as opposed to "sit inside"?

i have the malibu two from ocean kayak. you can use two seats or just one which can be moved to center position.

i remove the front seat and i paddle from back with my lab up front.

without the weight in front. middle works best.

i do flat water and its a blast in the surf.

inflatables are a pain. slow (real slow) and get leaks from branches under water.
