Question:

Questions about Ouija Boards!

I was reading old questions people asked on here about ouija boards. People say that it opens doorways to the spiritual world and you should never use one. I used one when I was about 12 with 4 of my friends. Not one thing happened. I don't understand if people are just saying they're bad to scare people, or if its for real. What are your opinions about it?

  1. You have to use a real Ouija Board not one of the cheap *** ones you can buy at Wal-mart.  You have to believe that you can do it, And be focused not just doing it because you're bord.  And with the real belivers you can get a bad spirt thats just a *****.

  2. I'm agnostic but ouija boards still creep me out.

  3. Commercial Ouija games are sheer c**p and conjecture, but there is a base of results from genuine paranormal reports.  Tapping into your pagan roots via meditation or even using such a game board or deck of cards can result in unexpected revelations or exposure to danger.  Best approach would be to cast a protective circle and meditate.  Seat yourself in a chair facing North and surround yourself with an enclosing circle of salt, recite "I am surrounded by the pure white light of the Goddess" 3X and set your alarm for a max of 15 minutes.  You may sit skyclad (nude) or clothed without harm and be sure to dismiss the circle and thank the protective powers you have invoked at the end of your session.

  4. I guess it's just whatever you believe in.  I had one when I was a kid and heard horror stories, but whenever I used mine it was to ask stupid stuff like who I was going to marry and of course it would always point to the letters I wanted  :)   I guess it's fun and scary for those with over active imaginations.

  5. i say people can believe what they want to believe. whenever i used one i didnt have any experiences. but maybe somepeople have. some people are super-stitious and believe the board has powers. others think of it as a piece of cardboard. personally, i think if a toy company like HASBRO makes a so called "mystic" thing its fake. I would believe it maybe if you bought them at like special places. I mean, if you can buy one for $20.00 bucks at a toy-store. chances are its fake. Thats just my opinion.

  6. One of my friends is really scared of that thing, she said as it was moving her whole arm started burning and she threw the board away, me I just think its a silly game that my friends and I can play for fun, or when we are bored.

  7. Well my mum, grandma, aunt and I used to do them quite a bit at my grandmas house and we got a few odd responses, you can tell when there is a person pushing the glass but this is like a weird vibrational sort of hover. The glass becomes really light if you try to pick it up although if you lift it too high it drops back down.. Its a really weird sensation. Anyway, we apparently never got a bad spirit but once we asked a question like are you a good or bad spirit (always ask that) and the glass just went round and round the circle. We made our own ouija boards so the paper letters went flying and it immeadiately stopped but that was pretty weird.. I did a bit of research and found out that bad spirits could come into your house and stuff but its been a few years since we last did it and nothing bads ever happened. Touch wood.

My mums best friend as a child first showed them how to do it and they always did it out of pure fun so I guess if you go into it with wrong intentions that's when the weird stuff happens.

  8. I've played around with it when I was younger...I don't believe in the paranormal but it messed me up a bit...the superstition and taboo messed with my mind a bit as a teenager and made me feel very scared...

  9. Id stay as far away from them as possible...JMO....I knew a girl who was from a family of witches...her grandmother had a board especially made, personalized, with a jeweled prism and a gold pointer etc....her mom rebelled and threw it in a dumpster in Texas...five years later she bought a board at a flea market in New Orleans....when she got it home and cleaned it up it was the one that belonged to her Grandmother...it came back to her....Id leave it alone

  10. I used them a lot as a kid....I don't think anything bad will happen.....well except that you'll be disappointed and want your $12.99 back that you paid for the board.

  11. I'm guessing the board you were using was from Hasbro or some other game maker. GAME maker. If it moved it's because someone was pushing it.

  12. i've done it loads of times with different people and not once has anything happened.I've never known anyone else to have either. It's a load of rubbish.

  13. Wouldn't like to take the chance !

  14. It isn't real.  It is run by subconscious muscle movements and looks weird.  Some ultra religious folks think that the spirits actually run the little platform (I forget what it is called) and that it opens the door for letting evil spirits into your life, but I doubt that, if you are a Christian.  Another thing that is run the same way, by unconscious micro muscle movement is the ring tied on the end of a string and held up so it swings freely back and forth, or in a circle, one for yes and the other for no.  It will swing without your trying to move it and will move even if you consciously try not to move it.  Make one and see for yourself!  It is entertaining at parties.  It is not run by spirits, either.  Happy trails.

  15. my opinion on ouija boards are there has to be spirits in the area to contact them below is a link in which the pagan views on ouija board are.

basically ouija boards have gone back to 1200BC in china, what people belive is there are different planes the plane we are on then the spiritual plane where spirits are and then the lower plane where demons and bad spirits are. ouija boards are used to contact through different planes, however they have only become famous when an american gaming company marketed them as games. i believe that they are real but you have to believe for one and also it cannot be done just anywhere to get a good response historic places where people have died is the best place to do it.

  16. I also used one, and trust me it was the worst mistake that I ever made. You might not be experiencing things yet, but you could later on down the road. Or you could end up in h**l when you die. But lets hope not. Did you guys close it after you were done, like say "We are done playing this game." Because if you did then nothing will happen. I don't experience things that often but I have before, and I'm not sure if it's from using the Ouija Board or not. Just please don't use one again, it all has to deal with devil stuff. And I was probably around the same age when you used one. We were just young and had no clue what we were doing. Just remember, never ever use one again!

  17. Yes, this does open the door to the spiritual door. Your asking for help from demons in which your practically inviting to your house. I would stay away from it.

  18. Depends if your house has a history. Nothing bad happened to me. I just got spooked. I guess its real!

  19. its a cardboard playing surface, with a plastic little pointy device. Made in china. Nothing supernatural about it.

  20. Ouija boards do not open any doors to any spiritual world,   The ouija board is just a game that you can buy in most toy stores and department stores, an ordinary piece of wood or plastic or cardboard.  It is meant for two or more players so it will not work very well if you try to use it alone.  It has no supernatural powers.  The people using the ouija board make it work through ideomotor movement.  It plays on your mind and imagination and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  It can be scary because the imagination is a powerful thing, and can make you believe just about anything.  Here are a couple of links that discuss ouija boards and how to use them.

  21. Didn't work for me. Load of c**p.

  22. I would advie you NOT to use them im connected the other world and i advise you to not use that method, that is the most dangerous way to go, people have dies and gotten possesd useing the board, please please please DO NOT use the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this isent clockwork, it dosnt happen when YOU want something to happen, it most likely will happen when you dont want it to happen or not expecting it to happen

  23. Yes, it's c**p. That's all there really is to say about it.

  24. I used one a long time ago and I was freaked out by it.  I wouldnt use one, i know i wont use one EVER again!

  25. Do YOU belive in the supernatural? Yes, they are just games, but they do work. Back when I was in highschool me and 2 of my friends decided to play. We asked if there was anyone there to send us a sign. A few seconds we heard a sound. Without thinking, we asked what was that? The board answered back, a rock on the roof. We went outside and there in the grass was a rock, the size of a golf ball. We looked around there was no one around, there were no rocks around the yard, just that one in the grass. We were freaked out. We put the board away. I personally have an opened mind and do belive in the supernatural. I have seen some pretty strange things through out the years. Just becareful when playing. You might not always get a GOOD spirit. Some do like to play tricks.

  26. I had some pretty messed up experiences with one.

I don't plan on ever using it again.

All it did for me was mess with my head and turned me into one big scaredy cat for weeks.

Of course, I'm passed that now, but, I still wish I had never played with it so much.

  27. well...ive never used one but just dont get the "spirit" angry or things can go horribley wrong.

haha..that sounds g*y but if you ever use one...ask the "spirit"

if it is a good one or a bad one..

    its crazy.

  28. It isn't a door way.

It is a piece of CARDBOARD that is made by a TOY company for KIDS.

It isn't voodoo or black magic or anything bad.

I've used it a few times and it isn't bad at all...

Do you really think that a toy company can do that? Have you seen a factory? They mass produce these things and make money off of it.

If you read the box, it is recommended for kids 8 and older.

So I don't believe it is bad. Just something to scare people who are uneducated.
