Questions about Proactiv?

Question

I've been using proactiv for about a month now and my skin still isn't clear. Should it be taking this long for my skin to clear or should I call and cancel my subscription?

Keep on using it, it will work in a few weeks.  Make sure you use all 3 steps in the morning and at night!

I used Proactiv a while ago and it didn't work for me at all.  what i've found works the best is using a face scrub (like Clearasil) and a plain moisturizer (i use Neutrogena) in the morning and then at night use the face scrub again then use a 10% benzoyl peroxide (also by Clearasil) on the bad spots at night.  the benzoyl peroxide works wonders.  leave it on thick for a night or two and it'll clear anything up.  and for some reason moisturizing your face helps...at least for me.  good luck!  i gave up on Proactiv and now i dont have ANY skin problems after using this system!

it usually takes about six weeks to work, but if it doesn't just cancel it and ask your doctor about RX acne medications.

they are usually fairly inexpensive, esp. compared to proactive and they work well without taking a toll on your skin.

I have the same problem!!! I've been using it twice a day, for almost two months now, and my acne isn't really clearing up. But, it's different for everyone. Maybe you should wait a few more weeks, and if there's no progress then maybe you should just cancel it.

It didn't work for me either. If you see absolutely no improvement by now I would cancel it. Usually it's like full results in 6 weeks not 6 weeks for it to start working.

Iv've been using Proactiv Solution for about 3 weeks and it hasnt cleared up yet!  it usually takes 4-6 weeks to clear...but it all depends in the skin!  even if in the commercial it mentions it works on all skin types, males and females, ect..  i know this guy who got tottally clear face in just 3 weeks!!! yes WOW...but like i  say it takes a little more time...if u just dont notice the results CANCEL ur subscriptin before they send u more bottles. give it a little more tome...if u have the refining mask use it with the 3 day kit it will boost the results!!!  Hope u and i get clear skin!!!!

Yes, it is soooo expensive.  By the time you use the cleanser, toner and repair lotion, you skin is so dry and tight, right??  Then you pores go into overdrive to create oil, and what does oily skin cause??  Break outs and blackheads.  Been there!!  

My skin is clear and not to sound modest, beautiful.  

This is what you should do.  Use a mild cleanser, or natural soap, then mix baking soda with water and exfoliate for 30 seconds in a circular motion, then moisturize with a lotion that contains 2.5% benzoil peroxide (Proactive Repairing Lotion)

I tried Proactiv years ago. It worked for me about 2 months and then my skin became immune to it. Proactiv just don't work on some people. The alternative is Murad. People who are unhappy about Proactiv are happy about Murad. So cancel it and try Murad.
