Questions about a career in Advertising?

Question

I am a college student who is studying broadcast journalism. I like journalism but I decided I did feel like workig my way up. ( By working crappy hours and doing crappy stories. ) Anyway I have been thinking for a long time about going into advertising. I took a copying writing class and like it. The problem is I have only one semester left of my undergrad. I don't want to go back and starting from the begining. I was wondering if it would be possible to go into radio first. There I would be able to do journalism and possible some advertising. Would this work or would I need to go back to school? Thanks.
