Questions about acting?

I just started to think about a Hobie I was thinking acting would be fun I was never really into it when i was in school I'm 17 I don't go to school any more I was told to go try getting into some school plays I don't go to school so i don't think that is a option and also was told to try getting a part at a theater or something how would I do that do i just go ask Ive had no experience in the acting field before so will it be hard to get a part in something and how do you get a part do you have to do a try out for it or something I'm not really from a big town so i don't even know where a theater is any other advice will help

  1. Ok, what you should do is find a community theater. I live in a small town to and there is a community theater 15 minutes away from me and one 20 minutes away. Then what you do is just call them and ask when their next auditions are. Ask them what kinds of parts they are looking for. Cuz you wouldnt want to show up and audition for a play that has only eight year olds in it. Also, ask them what you will have to do for the audition. Sometimes you will have to sing a song. Sometimes, you will just have to read some lines, depending on weather or not its a musical. Also, sometimes for auditions for musicals you are asked to dance. They will put you in a group and teach you a really simple dance. Have fun and good luck.
