Questions about beach volleyball at the 2008 summer olympics in bejing. please, take a look!?

just, two countries that has participated in the summer beach volleyball olympics and has won several matches. also, if you know when it was inducted into the olympics. and if there are any new countries that are participating in the summer olympics and are doing volleyball, please let me know. and if you can "connect" volleyball to a core subject (everything but reading, PE, and electives...) that would be awesome!

Beach volleyball was an exhibition sport at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, where Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos won the men's tournament, and Karolyn Kirby and Nancy Reno won the women's. The sport became an official Olympic event in 1996. Brazil, the US, and Australia are the only countries to have won gold medals to date. In the women's event, each country has won once.
