Questions about copper IUD and TTC

I had my COPPER (not the Mirena) IUD removed a week ago and am always very regular, every 27 days and also chart my temps so I know I ovulate on the 15th day always. I have gotten pregnant always without trying and we will start trying again this month but I am wondering how the IUD will affect me this time since before I had been on the pill (even got pregnant on the pill before which is why I got the IUD this time). I was supposed to start on the 29th and still have not, also have not BD so I know I am not pregnant. Any guesses as to what is going on?

Also I have had very light spotting (brown) today and no preiod symptoms at all. If you have had this issue how long did it take to get pregnant or to get a period?

  1. The removal of your IUD may throw off your period. However you may want to wait 3 months before TTC

It is recommended that you wait until you have 3 cycles. For 3 reasons

    1. You want your lining to build to a good level.  so if you happen to ovulate while your lining is still to thin the fertilized egg will be unable to take and nourish. Once you have had 3 cycles it is safe to say your body has re adjusted to its own hormones.

    2. If mild scarring happens at the time of removal 3 cycles will give it time to heal (There is no way to know if you did or did not have scarring)

    3. for timing purposes. Once you have had 3 cycles you will be more likely to have a pattern and you will be able to pinpoint conception better there for timing your pregnancy better.

I just had my 2nd Mirena removed 6/19 to ttc
