Questions about english grammar?

can anyone explain me tag questions?and the answers for do,neither,can, so.. I don't the name of this.. but e.g I am mexico... So Am I.. you are a doctor? aren't I? I like madonna. so do I.. please explain me tag questions and answers with neither,can,so, do, I can't remember the rest.. I have a test tomorrow.

  1. Tag questions are used to confirm an information we know or to ask for confirmation if we don't know.

    they use the same auxiliary used in the sentence and they have to be in negative if the sentence is affirmative. if the sentence is negative they are affirmative.

    a) They are from Puerto Rico, aren't they?

    b) She doesn't have a car, does she?

    c) I'm a doctor, aren't I?

    d) You can't speak japanese, can you?

    e) He can play soccer, can't he?

    f) He has two jobs, doesn't he?

    The exception to the rule is when you have a sentence with I as subject, for which you write aren't I as tag question if the auxiliary is the verb to be.

    The last example is in simple present, so you should use does as auxiliary and not the verb have.
