Questions about event planners?

1.Do they charge to RESERVE the date of your event(wedding, party) etc...,

2.If so whats a reasonable amount to pay?

3.Where is this money applied to and do I get it back?

I know they charge for they're initial services. I am aware of that of course.

    A deposit may be asked, a general 10% or so on your overall budget being spent on the wedding.

    2.If so whats a reasonable amount to pay?

    Depends on the overall cost you are looking to spend on the wedding.  10% or so of that.

    3.Where is this money applied to and do I get it back?

    The money is applied to vendor down payments as well as the planners fee.


  2. Event planners have certain packages that includes all the details of the event, or there some just for one-day coordination only.  

    If you get an event planner to handle everything, normally they charge 10% to 25% of the total expenses (venue, caterer, giveaways, dress, photographer, etc)


  3. 1. Planner charge a retainer to reserve their services for you special day.

    2. it depends on your area. Call some planners in the area to find out.

    3. The money give to the planner is for their time and services.
