Questions about eye vision/glasses/ and computers?

I have this problem where I can't see text on the computer and find myself leaning on the desk and like 10 inches next to the screen and it strains my eyes and i move back like a minute after. Its sort of like a habit once in a while to do that. I'm prescribed with glasses but i don't really wear them, only once in a while. Does it ruin you're vision if you let it strain like that?

Does your vision get worse?

What happens if you don't wear your glasses because I don't really need them, only sometimes if i have to read small text

  1. Your vision won't get worse...you'll just wind up with eye strain and headaches.

If you feel the need to move closer to the monitor, put your glasses on.  A room distance progressive lens would also seem appropriate.  With that lens, you are able to see the screen, but your distance vision will be limited to about 10 feet.

  2. I think if you need to wear them, even if it's to read small text, then I would advise wearing them for that.I don't think it's worth it to have eye strains, but if you need them just for that purpose,I think you should use them!
