Questions about getting hired at Petsmart. Help!

So I applied online last Sunday. I called the store this not long ago but no one was available to answer my questions. One of the assitents there said that I had to wait for them to call me. What if they don't call? Does that mean I'm not going to get hired, or should I just call them again? How long would they take to see my application? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

I've never worked there but I assume it's like any job. If they don't call you, it means you didn't get the job. But in your case that's good that you called back up there. Calling the job back after a few days and asking if your appliation was considered shows them that you're actually really interested in the job and may cause them to consider you over other employees. I would try calling them again in a few days and try to get ahold of a manager on the phone and ask them if they have considered your application, and if they have, why or why not.

Go to the store and ask for the MOD (Manager on duty)

Tell them you have applied, are really interested in the job and why.

Will this get you hired? NO But it will show that you are really interested and not just filling out apps.  Further it gives them the chance to see you in person and judge your appearence.  Since PetsMart has a casual uniform dress code I would suggest wearing slanks and a polo shirt like most of the employees wear - it's almost like saying see how I fit in.
