1. Can you take on-ride videos? Is it allowed? Don't worry about the liability aspect of dropping the camera (cell phone camera). I will be wearing a wrist strap (it's actually a Wii wrist strap lol) and I will be sheltering it in water rides. Do they take it away or kick you out of the park?

2. I'm going from the 26th to the first (labor day). Will it be busy, or are most american kids in school?

  1. There is no flash photography allowed on the rides, and that includes video. So, no. It gets annoying to the other riders to hear the there is no flash photography allowed constantly. And they WILL interupt the sound track of a ride to give that message, sometimes every 5 minutes. I don't know what they would do as I have never tried taking videos.

Well, labor day IS a Holiday here so that day it will be crowded. On Friday the morning won't be bad but, will probably get bad as people get off of work and out of school. Weekends are usually bad. So, the Wednesday and Thursday will probably be your best bet for the park its self. And if you plan to do California Adventure as well, then you might consider investing in a park hopper pass so you can go between the parks. Downtown Disney is free as it is mostly restaurants and shops.

Notable attractions at California Adventure is 'Twilight Zone Tower of Terror' and 'Soarin over California' which is arguably the best attraction between the two parks even though, it is just really a type of IMAX movie.

  2. they do not allow cameras on the rides and if you sneak it on you will be HEAVILY frowned upon

    and yes disneyland busy

  3. As the others answered, video and flash photography is not permitted. There are infrared cameras in every ride, monitoring the safety of all the guests, but also keeping an eye out for any illicit activities (and that does include getting cozy with a significant other... but does make us smile :) ).

If you are caught video-taping the ride, you will be verbally warned during the ride. Repeat offenses could result in confiscation of tape/disc/camera, removal from the ride, or removal from the park. Habitual offenders have been permanently banned as well.

Labor Day weekend is one of the busieweekendsnds at DLR, as it is the last unofficial "hurrah" before summer is over and school starts. Generally, any holiday weekend will be busier than usual (and the weekend following is usually a lot quieter).
