Questions about hairdryers and sparking...?

This is probably a very stupid question, but is it normal if my hairdryer sparks a little bit. Like, just now I was blow drying my hair and it kind of sparked and the inside was illuminated so I shut it off as fast as I could. Is it time to buy a new hairdryer?

It's not normal... and when mine would do that it would lose its heat even though it was still blowing. You should just get a new one, if you still have the box and stuff usually they have a warranty and you can get a new one free.

if its newish..take it back if not..its time for a new dryer
