Question:

Questions about how to buy a car in this situation?

Hello all. I would like to buy a car in the coming months. However:

a) I do not have a license

b) I do not have insurance

I have a person willing to buy the car FOR me. Would it be possible for him to buy it, and then for me to transfer the title to my name?

My question is HOW do I go about buying this car? As in, the exact process (buying, insuring, registering, getting the license). I'm just confused about the order of what to do, and what I can do with the limitations I have. Many sincere thanks to all who reply!

  1. You don't need a license to buy a car. You will however be required to have insurance on the car if you finance it. If you pay with cash then you don't have to insure it. Unless your state requires that you have insurance.

You can have the title transferred to your name later. (As long as you are over 18 years old)

Buying the car is easy. Go to a dealer and purchase the car.

Registration can be done at the dealership in the business office.

    Insurance can be purchased online.

As for getting your drivers license; just go to your DMV and sign up to take the test.

  2. 1)you dont need you licence to buy a car just drive it, so if you plan on driving get your licence.

2)some states dont require you have insurance, if you have one that does get at least a day of insurance before you think about driving it.

    3) get it licenced as quick as possible

  3. to start with you need to pass a test first no good having a car you cannot drive.if someone buys the car for you yes it can be put in your name once you have done the test then you can insure the car and tax it   happy motoring
