so I've heard that leopard geckos coloring could be altered by a lower or higher temperature.

if this is true, and I wanted my gecko to be more of a light yellow than a dark yellow, would I use a higher temperature? or a lower one?

I've heard it works if you do it in the first couple months, and it is about 2 months I think

  1. its part true. albino leopard gecko coloring is determined by incubation temperatures  here is a link to probably the world biggest leopard gecko breeders web site( ron tremper) it explains it all perfectly http://www.leopardgecko.com/colorfaq.htm...

  2. Nope, genetics determine color, not temperature.  Temperature of the eggs can determine male or females in many reptile species.

  3. Kimbee is correct.  You can't change the color of your gecko after it's hatched.  You can, however, change the color of albinos IN the egg.

Yours is too old to change color at this point.  What you may have read is that their color changes if they get too cold.  When they get cold, their color starts to dull out.  The yellows won't be as vibrant and they will appear slightly more tan.
