Questions about mobic for arthritis...?

My doctor has put me on mobic and vicodin for arthritis. My question is, do I have to take the mobic everyday?? I know it says to but it also says to on my vicodan but I only take it when I am in pain.I am not crazy about having to take something everyday so just wondering if I can take it when my shoulder starts to hurt. I should have asked my DR. I know but I get all nervous and forget to ask while I am there. Thanks!

  1. Dear Erica, I also have arthritis. My advice to you would phone the surgery I also feel the same about asking questions, but you really have to its your health and the Dr, would not be there if it was not for patients, so you must not be nervous, they are only people like you and I , maybe more qualifications but no better.Other alternative is to ring the Pharmacy that you got your drugs from they will tell you, but it should be printed on your medication how often you should be taking it, I would certainly not be asking a question regarding my medication  on any public site, as its your doctor who knows best. You are better to try and prevent the pain with medication instead of trying to get rid of pain after , I do hope this helps you and | hope you feel better.

  2. To get the best effect from this medication it is recommended that you take it on a daily basis.

  3. I don't know the composition  the medicine, but if the function is to cure/ to relief the symptoms.....you can take when you feel the symptoms (pain, swollen, etc) of arthritis attacks.
