Questions about moose?

Everytime i have either been hunting or when my dad went hunting he always brought a moose back. But every moose he brought home had no beard. Why do some moose have beards and others dont?

well think about it this way. do women have beards? do men have beards?

Because some like to shave and others dont.

The older more mature males are the ones that have the beard. The young males have not grown them yet- sort of like young boys and men.

Some are Male, and some are Females.* The males have beards.*

Male/female  same as  gobbler/hen.
